July 31, 1932 – August 8, 2021
James Loyd "Daigo" Killion, 89, of the Fremont community passed away 8:08 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Gary Haynes will officiate. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Killion, Jeff Killion, Mike Killion, Keith Douglas, David Williams and Ricky Grooms.
James was born July 31, 1932, in Obion County, son of the late Loyd and Tanzy (Hawkins) Killion. He married Nadine (Hayes) Killion in December 1956. She survives. James served in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War. He retired as a millwright with General Motor Company in Ypsilanti, Michigan after 30 years of service. James was a airplane pilot and enjoyed operating bulldozers, tractors and riding 4 wheelers. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is also survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Ronald and Barbara Killion of Brighton, Michigan, Jeff Killion of South Lyon, Michigan and Mike Killion of the Fremont community; three granddaughters, Erin McGray, Mary Forrest and Katie Killion of Brighton, Michigan; four great grandchildren, Morgan Forrest, Aiden McGray, Caleb McGray and Rowan McGray all of Brighton, Michigan; and his aunt, Mary Katherine Pucci of Phoenix, Arizona.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Melvin "Tookie" Killion; and one sister, Edna "Sitter" Coleman.
