Mr. James Chester Hoffman, 45, of the Shawtown community passed away suddenly Thursday afternoon, December 18, 2014, of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother B.J. Cohn will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
James was born October 19, 1969, in Union City, son of Becky (Mays) Hoffman of the Walnut Log community and the late Charles Hoffman. He married Carla (Kyathfield) Hoffman December 5, 2013. She survives. James was a self employed carpenter.
He is also survived by three brothers, Chuck Hoffman of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Richard Hoffman and Shane Hoffman both of Union City; two step sons and the spouse of one, Zachary McMillan and Andrew and Misty McMillan all of Union City; one niece, Heather Hoffman of Reno, Nevada; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Vonnie Hoffman and Walter and Icie Mays.
