Obituary

James B. Henson, 91, of Union City went home to be with the Lord 3:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Manuel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Craig Menees, Matt Snow, Christian Snow and Jerry Duncan.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Lake Road Baptist Church.

James was born October 20, 1930, in Obion County, son of the late Brady and Iva (Johnson) Henson. He married Diane (Basham) Henson November 20, 1954. She survives. James had been employed at Boyd Aircraft in St. Louis for 15 years and retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 23 years of services. He had served in the United States Army during the Korean War. James was a member of Lake Road Baptist where he had served as a deacon.

He is also survived by one daughter, Kathy Duncan (Jerry) of Union City; two grandchildren, Angie Snow (Matt) and Craig Menees all of Union City; four great grandchildren, Christian Snow, Nicole Snow, Shay Snow and Kaylee Menees all of Union City; one sister, Geraldine Beard of the Walnut Log community; and two brothers, Len D. Henson of Slidell, Louisiana and Waymon Henson (Joan) of Plymouth, Michigan.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Henson and Rodney Henson; and two brothers, Glen C. Henson and David Henson.
