James Ray Edmaiston, 76, of Union City passed away 9:55 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Justin Hiens will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Edmaiston, Trent Robertson, Royce Morgan, Jeff Ross, Randy Roberson and B.J. Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike McCarver, Dale Treece and Charles Gray.
James was born November 26, 1943, in Lambert, Mississippi, son of the late Rolie and Letha (Patton) Edmaiston. He married Carol (Chilton) Edmaiston September 3, 1965. She survives. James retired in 2005 from Ford Construction Company as a heavy equipment mechanic. He had served in the Tennessee National Guard and enjoyed woodworking, welding and working in his yard. James was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class.
He is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Cassy Edmaiston of Trenton and Allen and Beth Edmaiston of Union City; seven grandchildren, Courtney Davis and Olivia Edmaiston both of Sevierville, Matthew Edmaiston and Leah Beth Edmaiston both of Union City, Kaileh Parlow and Mickey Rodriguez both of Trenton and Kirsti Rodgers of Bradford; eight great grandchildren, Kohen Davis and Korbyn Davis both of Sevierville, Addi Rodgers and Paxton Rodgers both of Bradford and Kinze White, Katy White, Braxton Parlow and Desmond Rodriguez all of Trenton; one sister, Edna Eaves of Union City; five brothers and the spouses of four, Rolie and Carolyn Edmaiston and Eugene and Bonnie Edmaiston all of Union City, Arthur Edmaiston of Troy, Kenneth and Joyce Edmaiston of Fulton, Kentucky and Bobby and Lou Alice Edmaiston of Iowa, Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Estelle Edmaiston and Carolyn Brown.
