August 7, 1956 – February 18, 2026
Mr. James Robert Baker, 69, of Union City passed away 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral Services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Craig Inman will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
James was born August 7, 1956, in Lake County, son of the late Robert and Viola (Davidson) Baker. He married Minnie (Cook) Baker November 22, 1995. She survives. James was a truck driver for his dad in the 80's and worked at Goodyear for over 20 years. He loved fishing and talking on the phone to his family and friends.
He is survived by three daughters, Brittany (Jason) Morphis, Christy (Stoney) Spry and Crystal (Nathaniel) Pollock all of Union City; one son, Michael (Becky) Rouse of Union City; ten grandchildren, Kenzi (Blake) Burnette of Dyersburg, Aubrey (Chase) Ward of Troy, Travis (Brianna) Fraley of Obion, Gracie Fraley, Reuben Morphis, Dominic (Harley) Dutton, Jamie Rouse, Megan Rouse, Cassie Rouse, and Mickie Rouse all of Union City; six great-grandchildren, one aunt, Shirley Webb of Trenton; one sister, Michelle (Craig) Inman of Trenton, two nephews, Jimmy Oliver and Jeremy (Jadyn) Toon both of Troy; and several great nieces and great nephews.
He was also proceeded in death by one sister, Brenda Toon; one brother, Robert Earl Baker; his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
