February 7, 1953 – July 7, 2020
James Lynn Adams, 67, of Hickman, Kentucky passed away 3:03 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
A celebration of life service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020, at West Hickman Baptist Church in Hickman, Kentucky. Brother Jason Sipes will officiate.
Visitation will be held at West Hickman Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
The family requests that those attending please wear a mask and to follow social distancing guidelines.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
James was born February 7, 1953, in Union City, son of the late James Wesley and Betty Louise (Castleman) Adams. He married Cecelia Ann "Cissy" (Graham) Adams May 2, 1981. She preceded him in death April 13, 2020. James retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City. He had served in the Kentucky National Guard for 11 years. James was a active member of West Hickman Baptist Church where he had served as a Trustee, drove a bus and cooked for church functions. He currently served on the Hickman City Commission where he was mayor pro tem and the Hickman Tourism Commission. James was a member of Western Sun Masonic Lodge in Troy and was a Shriner.
He is survived by three daughters, Leigh Wilkerson (Pete) of Newbern, Brandy Jones (Tony) of Union City and Anna Jarvis (Edward) of Geelong, Australia; six grandchildren, Hillary Clift (Dylan) of Huntingdon, Savannah Williams, Gracie Williams and Maddie Claire Wilkerson all of Newbern, Gaby Jones of Union City and Rylee Adams of Geelong, Australia; two sisters, Judy Myatt (Larry) and Tammy Mayo (Mark) all of Hickman, Kentucky; and one brother, Roger Adams (Jan) of Hickman, Kentucky.
