Jackie Guynn Baird, 71, of Murfreesboro passed away 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at her home. She was a resident of Union City prior to suffering a stroke in July 2022.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Justin Hiens will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in the Crystal community.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Obion County Public Library , 1221 East Reelfoot Avenue, Union City, Tennessee 38261.
Jackie was born May 18, 1951, in Union City, daughter of the late Jakey and Denette (Guthrie) Guynn. She was the widow of Joe Baird who preceded her in death February 6, 2004. Jackie had been employed in the office of the former Brown Shoe Company and retired as a senior field representative for the United States Government Department of Commerce Census Bureau. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and enjoyed reading and shopping.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Steve Walker of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren, Dalton Shannon and wife Chelsea of Union City and Brea Lawson and husband DeNarius of Murfreesboro; two great grandchildren, Owen Shannon of Union City and Harper Lawson of Murfreesboro; three step grandchildren, Lacey Herring and husband Andy of Nashville, Skyler Walker of Brisbane, Queensland and Savannah Walker of Murfreesboro; one brother, Larry Guynn and wife Peggy of Murray, Kentucky; three sisters, Barbara Inmon and husband Henry of Union City, Gloria Montgomery and husband Hale C. of Troy and Kim Johnson and husband Kenneth of Rives; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Bobby Guynn, Michael Guynn, Donnie Guynn and Terry Guynn.
