Mr. Jack L. Mitchell, 93, of Union City passed away 1:24 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Jeff Keene will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Criswell, Ryan Moore, Thorpe Mitchell, Kenneth Barnes, John Bumpious, Mark Baker and Jeremy Barnes.

Jack was born February 26, 1933, in Clayton, Indiana, son of the late Richard Amos and Geneva (Kendall) Mitchell. He married Sue (Gatewood) Mitchell April 13, 1965. She survives. He worked for the former Reelfoot Packing Company for 33 years and was a U.S. Army veteran. Jack was a faithful member of Exchange Street Church of Christ.

He is also survived by four children, Rex Criswell (Lesia) of Maryville, Vicki Moore (Reese) of North Augusta, South Carolina, Becki Terrell of Murray, Kentucky and Randy Mitchell (Melanie) of Union City; five grandchildren, Nathan Criswell (Laura), Lauren Dixon (Travis), Shonda Criswell, Ryan Moore and Thorpe Mitchell; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Bumpious of Anniston, Alabama and Barbara Baker of Plainfield, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Richard H. Mitchell; and one sister, Sue Barnes.
