Jack Elliott Gear, 10, of Union City passed away 5:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.  Brother Ron Gray will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday.

Jack was born September 18, 2013, in Columbia, son of Xson and Crystalyn (Carnes) Gear. He had completed fourth grade at Union City Elementary and was enrolled at Union City Middle School for the upcoming school year. Jack loved reading and video games. He was loved by all and will be truly missed.

Jack is also survived by his brother and sister, Varick and Arianna Gear of Union City; grandparents, Jim and Jeri Wilkes of Gates; two aunts, Ashleigh Maness of Smithfield and Delaine Gear of Pulaski; one uncle, Colton Carnes of Lynnville; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Connie Maness.
