Mrs. Ila Pearl (Ogden) Whaley, 75, of the Shawtown community died 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Charles Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery .

Mrs. Whaley was born November 6, 1934, in Fulton County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Chester B. and Opal T. (King) Ogden. She married Floyd "Buddy" Whaley in 1973. He died July 13, 2000. She was a homemaker and attended Hornbeak Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, June Miller of Monroe, Michigan; her son, Tommie Miller of the Shawtown community; her sister, Shelby Cunningham of Troy; two brothers,Donnie Ogden of Troy and Lauden Ogden of Elbridge; six grandchildren, Bryan Miller, Lance Reynolds and Christy (Reynolds) Edmaiston all of Troy; Beth Landu of Redford, Michigan, and Adam Maxwell and Rachel Maxwell both of Monroe, Michigan; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Reynolds and her son, Charlie Miller.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Miller, Lance Reynolds, Hunter Reynolds, Dalton Edmaiston, Ed Lewis and Nick Harper.
