Obituary

William Hunter Wayne Hicks, 19, of the Clayton community passed away 7:33 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare Milan Hospital of injuries received in an automobile accident.

A celebration of life service will be conducted 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Ian Ferguson, Blake Robb, Gavin Blackwell, Jessie Parnell, Johnathan Mitchell and Nick Wilson.

Hunter was born April 23, 2001, in Union City, son of Jason Wayne and Jeanne Beth (Tanner) Hicks of the Clayton community. He was a 2019 graduate of Obion County Central High School. Hunter was employed as a welder and pipe fitter for Mitchell Mechanics. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Hunter was a very joyful person to be around and was always hugging his family and friends. He was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church.

He is also survived by his sister, Kerra Beth Fussell (Chassidy) of Troy; his nephew, Tatum Ryan of Troy; his grandparents, Butch and Beth Taylor of Paris Landing, Kenneth Tanner of Union City and Gary and Kathy Hicks of the Mt. Pelia community; and his uncles and aunts, Paul and Jennifer Hicks Slack of Martin and Jeremy and Katie Hicks of Kalispell, Montana.
