Mrs. Hope (Evans) Counce, 97, of Hickman, Kentucky passed away 6:55 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Henry Callison will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Robert Howard, Trey Woody, Brian Street, George Evans, Jr., Joey Watts and Rodney Watts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dolly Covington, Margaret Morris, Larry Gray, Phillip Amberg, J.P. Amberg, Ben Terrett and Tommy Hepler.

Mrs. Counce was born September 13, 1917, in Fulton County, Kentucky, daughter of the late George B. and Lula (Kitrell) Evans. She married James Lloyd Counce October 8, 1938. He died October 19, 1998. Mrs. Counce was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Ray Woody of Annona, Texas and Shirley and Donald Watts of Graysville; her daughter-in-law, Teresa Evans of Woodland Mills; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, George Evans, Sr.; three sisters; and one brother.
