Mr. Henry Lee Presson, 85, of Union City passed away 10:15 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2016, at Union City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Bobby Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Morris, Donnie Morris, David Morris, Tim Jones, Chuck Parks and Jason Gibson.

Mr. Presson was born October 29, 1930, in Mississippi County, Missouri, son of the late Luther and Verlie (Hardin) Presson. He married Cecelia (Pendergrass) Presson August 26, 1979. She died December 17, 2010. Mr. Presson retired from the former Brown Shoe Company after forty one years of service and had also been employed by Griffin Industries. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and served in the United States Army.

He is survived by three daughters, Carol Owens and Anna (Chuck) Parks all of Union City and Jessica (Tim) Jones of Troy; two sons, Terry (Phyllis) Presson of Jackson and Kelvin Presson of Union City; one stepdaughter, Juli Murphy of Newbury Park, California; one sister, Wilma Morris of Union City; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his half sister, Louise Drankard.
