Harvey V. Rule, 95, of Troy passed away 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday at Bethel Cemetery in Atoka, Tennessee.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Harvey was born August 7, 1927, in Glassboro, New Jersey, son of the late Clarence and Mary (Driver) Rule. He was married to Myrle (Crouse) Rule who preceded him in death November 6, 2008. Harvey retired with the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer with the United States Navy after 40 years of service and was a member of Ravenscroft Episcopal Church in Brighton.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Tom Rice of Union City; his son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Susan Rule of St. Marys Georgia; three grandchildren, Victoria Rice of Union City, Wendy Powell and husband Randy and Heather and Jim Gibson all of Middleburg, Florida; and five great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Westlake.
