James Harold Tivis, 71, of Union City passed away 9:00 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2024, at AHC Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Russell Zik will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m.until the hour of services on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

Harold was born September 28, 1952, in Duncan, Oklahoma, son of the late James Darnell and Addie Mae (Spencer) Tivis. He married Cindy (Jeffery) Tivis April 24, 1980. Harold was a retired plumber and a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cindy Tivis of Union City; three children, Jeremy Tivis and wife Jennifer of Union City, Misty Spagler of Athens, Alabama and John Thomas of Obion; two brothers, Frank Tivis and wife Lee Ann of Decatur, Texas and Ron Tivis and wife Tonya of Denton, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
