Mr. Harold E. Stover, 83, of Union City left this life 4:20 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Bobby Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery near Troy.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Harold was born September 8, 1932, Obion County, son of the late G.B. and Eunice (Coleman) Stover. He married Velma (Harrison) Stover May, 17, 1963. She survives. He lived in Memphis for 24 years where he worked as an accounts payable bookkeeper for a construction firm before his return to this area in 1986. He was a farmer and real estate developer for many years. Harold was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Troy where he served as treasurer for many years.
He is also survived one brother, Doyle Stover of Memphis; one sister, Phelda Browning of Holly Springs, Mississippi; two nephews and one niece.
