Harold Lloyd Hooten, 96, of Union City passed away 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2025, at Cobbs Chapel Cemetery. Brother Shawn White will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Todd Isbell, Steve Ladd, Brady Ladd, Cody Spaulding, Nick Adams and Cody Quinn.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Harold was born May 27, 1928, in Obion County, son of the late Dan and Goldie B. (Ransom) Hooten. He had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Company for 28 years and the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 20 years.
He is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Ladd of Union City, Barbara Jackson and husband Ron of Troy and Linda Morris of Martin; seven grandchildren, Lisa Isbell and husband Todd and Steve Ladd and wife Michelle all of Union City, Natalie Farrar and husband Reece of Kenton, Clint Gantt and wife Merany of Troy, Mike Newsom of Lexington, Bryan Newsom of Martin and Melissa Thorsen and husband Bobby of Martin; thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and one sister, Geraldine Barrett of Florence, Mississippi.
He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Marlayna Newsom-Long; one son-in-law, Teddy Ladd; and one sister, Dora Baskin.
