Mr. Harold Wayne Farrar, 60, of Rives died 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Billy Sutton, Ron Bobbitt, Mike Bobbitt, Earl Dowdy, Philip Walker and Chris Vogel.

Harold Wayne was born September 28, 1950, in Obion County, son of Carlton Ray Farrar of Martin and the late Frances (Robertson) Farrar. He married Robin Smith on August 16, 1969. She survives. He had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for 37 ½ years. He had served as President of Babe Ruth and also helped coach Babe Ruth and Little League many years ago and was an avid duck hunter.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Tracy Farrar of Rives and Jay and Julie Farrar of Milan; one sister, Mary Anna Coble District 7; and five grandchildren, Hannah Farrar, Baylee Farrar and Analie Farrar of Milan and Blake Simpson and Jennifer Scott of Rutherford.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gail Farrar , Charles Ray Farrar and Clifton Farrar.
