Guy D. Foster, 76, of Union City passed away 11:37 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Robin Rotgers will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Foster, Mike Barker, Joey Barker, Scott Shell, Chad Thornton, Chris Sisk and Stanley Kozlowitz.

Guy was born May 7, 1944, in Milan, son of the late Guy Devon and Faustine Joy (Douglas) Foster. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Independence. Guy was a lifetime member of Jones Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862. He retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 31 years of service. Guy had been an umpire, for minor league, little league and Babe Ruth leagues in Union City and had also umpired on the high school and college level. He enjoyed playing music, camping in his RV, collecting antiques and going to flea markets.

He is survived by two sons, Deroun Foster (Tamara) of South Fulton and Damon Foster (Crystal) of Union City; his companion, Suzanne Myatt of Milan; one sister, Mary Ann Phebus of Raleigh; three brothers, Lynn Arnold Foster (Jeanette) of New Orleans, Louisiana, David Foster (Charlotte) and Ronnie Foster (Karen) all of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and one grandson, Trey Foster of Huntington, West Virginia.

He was also preceded in death by his grandmother who raised him, Fannie Foster; and one brother, Charles Foster.
