Mr. Grady "Bo" Marlar, 70, of Union City died 1:30 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Pallbearers will be Todd Wright, John Fulcher, Michael Rushton, Gary Fulcher, Chris Fulcher and Doyle Nash.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Austin, Jerry Hutchison, Gaylon Todd, Bill Simrell, Letha Botts, Buddy Thompson, Ronald Dunn and Kelvin Presson.

Mr. Marlar was born January 3, 1941, in Lake County, son of the late William Lee Marlar and the late Avalyn (Meeks) Williams. He married the former Sandra Fulcher January 3, 1963. She survives. He had been employed at the former Botts' Livestock Company and had been public works director for the City of South Fulton. He was also a retired employee of Lake County Regional Prison.

An avid duck hunter, he was also a well-known crappie fisherman at Reelfoot Lake.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lukie and Ireland Brown, Letha and Todd Wright and Lisha Marlar, all of Union City; his brother, Charlie Marlar of Union City; three grandchildren and the spouse of one, Brennon Elam, Chase and Charli Wright and Macy Wright, all of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded also preceded in death by his brother, Larry "Sissy" Marlar.
