Grace Woodward 1919-2014
Mrs. Grace Belle Woodward, 95, of Woodland Mills died 6:50 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ed Decker will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Adam Campbell, James Fagan, Todd Faulkner, Bobby Barber, Joseph Rother and Cameron Grant.
Mrs. Woodward was born April 7, 1919, in Nebo, Illinois, daughter of the late George Iva and Minnie Katherine (Pelican) Sutton. She married Robert Franklin Woodward June 4, 1938. He died November 14, 1986. Mrs. Woodward was a homemaker and attended Union City Baptist Temple.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Leonard Nelson of Union City; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Butch" and Laura Woodward of Union City; one sister, Eva Buss of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren, Lisa Lynn Ogden, Dale Woodward and Keith Woodward all of Union City, Robert Glynn Nelson of Obion, Brian Anderson Nelson of Woodland Mills, Mike Woodward of Newbern, Tammy Darnell of Indiana and Bobby Eugene Woodward and Nevin Woodward both of Wickliffe, Kentucky; several great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Rowland Eugene "Ronnie" Woodward; one granddaughter, Lori Lynn Nelson; two sisters, Edith Sutton and Evelyn Morley; and four brothers, Marion Sutton, Ed Sutton, Emmett Sutton and Paul Sutton.
