Gordon Edgar Presley McKinney, 93, of Union City passed away 4:40 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Entombment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Arnett, Michael McKinney, David Davis, Jeff Bing, Clark Garland, Kenneth Brooks and Jim Elliott.

Mr. McKinney was born June 28, 1925, in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Omer G. and Leila B. (Walker) McKinney. He married Juanita (Davis) McKinney December 25, 1943. Gordon served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Peiffer.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City

He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Juanita McKinney of Union City; three children, Wanda Lohr (Luther) of Lexington Park, Maryland, Larry McKinney (Pat) of Martin and Gwen Dulaney (Tom) of Dawsonville, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Tammy Harris (Bill) of Lexington Park, Maryland, Patrick Arnett (Linda) of New Windsor, Maryland, Tracey Scott (Derek) of Nashville, Michael McKinney (Rachel) of Union City, Kyle Smith of Paducah, Kentucky, Karl Smith (Dennis) of Riverdale, Florida and Vanessa Nohelty (Josh) of Hawaii; twenty seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and his brother-in-law, Joe Neil Davis (Kitty) of Union City.

He was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Kevin Wagster and Scott Wagster.
