Mr. Glenn Dean Bearden, 67, of Union City died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Molsey Funeral Home. Dr. Cecil Sewell will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Hicks, Andy Hill, Billy Vassar, Johnny Fowler, Kent McAlister and Mike Killion.

Glenn was born October 13, 1946, in Gadsden, Alabama, son of the late Louie and Emily (Steele) Bearden. He retired after 38 years of service at the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as a production specialist. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City.

He is survived by his former wife of 30 years, Teresa (Gwin) Bearden of Union City; one daughter, Deana Bearden-Hicks of Union City; one son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Jennie Beth Bearden of Union City; three grandchildren, Mitchell Glenn Hicks, Sailor Bearden and Sloan Bearden all of Union City; and two brothers, Freddie Bearden of Southside, Alabama and Troy Bearden of Gadsden, Alabama.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Frances Stanfield; and one brother, Troy Bearden.
