Mrs. Georgia Mai "Georgie" Goodman, 82, of Hornbeak died 11:30 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Mrs. Goodman was born October 27, 1927, in Obion County, daughter of the late Henry Harrison and Florence Mai (Lee) Rudd. She married Ralph Goodman on April 24, 1962. He died October 9, 1999. She was a retired employee of the former Salant & Salant in Obion and the former Wayside Florist near Hornbeak.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Dean of Battle Creek, Michigan; her stepson, Bobby Goodman of Samburg; her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Dalton Moran of Union City; her brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Joan Rudd of Hornbeak; three grandchildren, Tammy Reed, Teresa Dean and Woodie Junior Dean all of Battle Creek, Michigan; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, SPC 4 Woody Dean; and three brothers, R.C. Rudd, L.T. Rudd and Bobby Rudd.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Stacy Rudd, Blake Rudd, Jerry Bailey, Tommy Jerden, Teddy Montgomery and David Rhoades.
