Obituary

Mrs. Georgia Rhuene Shoemaker, 68, of Union City passed away 6:15 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, at Hillview Nursing Home in Dresden.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jessie Cavness will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Bill Shoemaker, Jamie Scheland, Donald Riley, Jonathan Brauer, Lynn Bryson and Steve Christman.

Mrs. Shoemaker was born January 3, 1948, in Vivian, Louisiana, daughter of the late Hubert George and Ellen (Whitehurst) Malloy. She married Clarence William Shoemaker March 5, 1967. He survives. Mrs. Shoemaker was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

She is also survived by three daughters, Frances Brauer of Picayune, Mississippi, Hazel (William) Bryson of Troy and Georgette Shoemaker of Union City; one son, Bill Shoemaker of Troy; two sisters, Marilyn (Charles) Laster of Bardwell, Kentucky and Lynetta (Steve) Christman of Shelbyville, Illinois; one brother, Franklin Hubert (Carla) Malloy of Columbus, Ohio; ten grandchildren; and one great grandson.
