George T. Kemp, 82, of Union City passed away 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Saturday at East View Cemetery. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Tracy Cole, Trent Cole, Tanner Cole, Greg Thompson, Greg Hammond and Eric Watson.

George was born September 8, 1943, in Hickman, Kentucky, son of the late Thomas and Josie (Terrett) Kemp. He married Jackie (Arnn) Kemp December 31, 1970. George retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jackie Kemp of Union City; one son, Greg Kemp (Anita) of Union City; two daughters, Krystal Hammond (Greg Thompson) of Union City and Jennifer Watson (Eric) of Franklin; three grandchildren, Morgan Willett (Matt) of Union City, Brianna Allred (Anna) of Orlando, Florida and Emily Hammond of Union City; two great grandchildren, Rhea Jade Willett of Union City and Layla Paige Allred of Orlando, Florida; and one sister, Mitzi Cole of Union City.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Mitchell Kemp; and one sister, Marcella Parks (Jerry).
