George Lee Fergerson, 78, of Union City passed away 4:10 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

Private funeral services were conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Gary Doughten officiated. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brian Hale, David Hauhe, Mark Hauhe, Landon Hauhe, Parker Hauhe, Stone Hale, Thomas Cheatham and Jack Moore.

George was born November 3, 1946, in Union City, son of the late George Washington Fergerson, Jr. and the late Zula Henrietta (Smith) Fergerson. He retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was an avid motorcycle rider. George served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by two daughters, Darla Hale and husband Brian and Amy Hauhe and husband David all of Union City; six grandchildren, Alex Roberson, Mary Morgan Hale, Parker Hauhe and wife Amberley and Landon Hauhe all of Union City, Stone Hale of Newbern, and Mark Hauhe and wife Cassi of Martin; seven great grandchildren, Hendrix Roberson, Vance Roberson, Oaklyn Roberson and Lily Hauhe all of Union City and Aurora Hauhe, Avery Hauhe and Everett Hauhe all of Martin; and one sister, Patsy Caldwell and husband Gaylon of Troy.
