Geneva Inez (Beard) Forrester, 93, a resident of Fish Gap Hill passed away 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Gary Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Pallbearers will be Keith Forrester, Eddie Forrester, Jr., Jared Handley, Garrett Forrester, Matthew Forrester and Kyle Forrester.

Geneva was born July 27, 1930, in Obion County, daughter of the late Franklin Eugene "Gene" Beard and Ollie (Timmons) Beard. She married Leroy Forrester October 9, 1946. He preceded her in death June 20, 2002. Geneva was a homemaker, a hard worker in the fields alongside her husband and children, she had been employed at the former Salant & Salant in Union City, was a nursing aide at the former Obion County General Hospital and was a private sitter. She was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church.

She is survived by two two daughters, Hilda Ash and husband Cloyd of Union City and Charlotte Forrester of Troy; three sons, Eddie Forrester and wife Sue of Rives, Larry Forrester and wife Cynthia of Troy and Dennis Forrester and wife Nell of Winchester, Indiana; one sister, Fannie Jo Morton of Zavalla, Texas; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; and her faithful fur baby, Carmel.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Walter Ray Forrester and Franklin Forrester; three grandchildren; and nine siblings, Mary Lee Beard Simmons, J.W. "Bud" Beard, Don Beard, Claude Beard, Dale Beard, Wayman Beard, Marvin Beard, Mattie Beard DeHart and Beverly Beard Cartwright.
