Mr. Arthur Gene Wroten, 75, of Union City died 3:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Chad Counsell, Dusty Ladd, Jon Erik Nuno, Paul Wilson Riley, Jody Tarkington and Rickey Mask.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Riley, N.D. Riley, Clyde Riley James Riley and Bob Short.

Mr. Wroten was born July 15, 1937, in Obion County, son of the late Arthur Leon Wroten and the late Nellie Marie (Hickman) Evans. He married Frances (Riley) Wroten March 24, 1956. She survives. He retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after thirty years of service. Mr. Wroten was a founding member of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company Credit Union, was a member of United Steel Workers Local 878, the Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees of Goodyear and was a active supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He was a United States Navy veteran.

He is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Natalie Wroten of St. Louis, Missouri and Jacob and Jennifer Wroten of Union City; three daughters, Paula Britt and Linda Ladd both of Union City and Amy Jo Wroten of Rives; his brother, Joe Evans of St. Louis, Missouri;  his sister, Wanda Carlsen of Romeoville, Illinois; seven grandchildren and the spouses of two, Haley Wroten, Macie Britt, Dusty Ladd, Chad Counsell and his wife Sara Counsell, April Counsell Nuno and her husband Jon Erik Nuno, Savannah Jo McMillin and Sierra McMillin; and three great grandchildren, Riley K. Counsell, Jacob Andrew Wroten and Conner Alan Wroten.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, George Evans, Sr.
