Gene Wilson's Obituary
Mr. Joseph Eugene "Gene" Wilson, 86, of Hickman, Kentucky passed away 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ron Gray and Brother Wayne McLean will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home on Monday.
Mr. Wilson was born September 8, 1930, in Lexington, Tennessee, son of the late Ray Wilson and the late Bennie Mae (Manness) Bynum. He married Dulsie (Duty) Wilson June 2012. She survives. Gene retired after 35 years of service with the Army Corps of Engineers as a supervisor and was a member of First Church of God in Union City.
He is also survived by one daughter, Donna Laster of Hickman, Kentucky; one son, Tommy Wilson of Hickman, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Doug Laster of Union City, Ginger (Kenneth) Chronister of Parsons and Rebecca (John) Dunlap of Mt. Juliet; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lessie Mae (Davis) Wilson; his son-in-law, Larry W. Laster; and one brother, Elton Wilson.
