Obituary

Odis Gaylen McGee, 84, of Troy passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Tony Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Channing McGee, Kaylen McGee, Timothy McGee, Robert Tison, Chris Tison and Josh Tison.

Mr. McGee was born May 15, 1933, in Obion County, son of the late Charlie Wayne McGee, Sr. and the late Odie Evelyn (Estes) McGee Ring. He married Juanita (Brown) McGee August 3, 1973. She passed away June 1, 2009. Mr. McGee had been employed at Scotty's Lumber Yard in Orlando, Florida and Home Builders Mart in Union City prior to his retirement. He had served in the Tennessee National Guard and was a member of Troy First Baptist Church.

He is survived by three sons, Mike (Gail) McGee of Obion, Kenneth (Glenda) McGee of Dayton and Terry (Janet) McGee of Troy; two sisters, Eleanor Ring of Bowling Green, Kentucky and JoAnn Denton of High Springs, Florida; one brother, Charles McGee of Fort White, Florida; twelve grandchildren; and twenty eight great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Gayle Tison; and one son, Vernon McGee.
