Garry Nix Copeland, 66, of Union City passed away 10:54 a.m. Sunday, March 14, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery near Union City.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Mires, Dennis Mires, Dylan Mires, Randy Jones, Colby Javellana and Tony McWherter.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations go to Forget Me Not Foundation of West Tennessee , 3744 Cleek Echo Drive, Union City, Tennessee 38261.

Garry was born March 12, 1955, in Fulton, Kentucky, son of the late Billy Bert and Ruby Estelle (Nix) Copeland. He married Diane (Mires) Copeland April 4, 1980. She survives. Garry retired from Northwest Tennessee Correctional Facility as a counselor after 39 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church in Woodland Mills. He was an avid hunter.

He is also survived by his daughter, Bethany Copeland of Union City.
