Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery. Rev. Don Brooks and Rev. Jerry Leggett will officiate.
Mr. Farrar was born September 1, 1946, in Henry County, Tennessee, son of Ray Farrar of Martin and the late Mary Frances (Robinson) Farrar. He married the former Judy Jarratt on August 14, 1965. She survives. He was a retired maintenace supervisor for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Union City, had served as a minor league baseball coach for many years, had served as Scout Master for Cub Scout Pack #252 and was an avid fisherman and camper.
In addition to his wife and brother he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Blair and Patryck Winter of Waverly; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Pat Farrar and Brent Farrar both of Union City and Reece and Natalie Farrar of Kenton; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Winter and Spencer Winter both of Waverly and Braeden Farrar and Seth Farrar both of Kenton.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Frank Bobbit, Ron Bobbit, Mike Bobbit, Dwight Gray, Malcolm Gregory, Joe Frazier, Roy Griffith and Harry Simpson.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge , 2008 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee 37203 or The American Cancer Society , P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
