Franklin Delano "Frank" Tucker, 79, of Union City passed away on the morning of Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Rives.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Pallbearers will be Blake Cheatham, Danny Hill, Kenneth Brooks, Tim Wallace, Jason Kimbel and DJ Dilday.

Born November 29, 1942, in Union City to the late Leonard H Tucker and Mary Olene (Warren) Tucker, Frank was a longtime active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon (from 1986), Treasurer (from 1991), and Sunday School Teacher. From 1960 to 1963, he served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Hanau, Germany, and he retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 31 years. In 2014, he was elected to serve as the councilman from Ward 4 for the City of Union City, a position he held until the present.

On June 17, 1966, He married Jo Ann Cochran of Union City at Gibbs Baptist Church (the present-day Calvary Baptist Church).

Frank is survived by his wife; two sons, Joey Franklin (Lisa) Tucker of Union City and Alan Drue (Becca) Tucker of Spring Hill; seven grandchildren, Benjamin Coy Tucker, Allie Corrine Tucker, Nolan Thomas Tucker, all of Union City, and Arthur Drue Tucker, Emmett Michael Tucker, Ellory Kathryn Tucker, Josie Louise Tucker, all of Spring Hill; one sister, Ollie Sue Killebrew of Union City; and many nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Leonard Jr. Tucker, Billy Ray Tucker, Charles David Tucker, Jimmy Dale Tucker, all of Union City; two sisters, Martha Jane Sanford and Barbara June "Sissy" Elliott, both of Union City.
