Mr. Frank "Bubba" Newsom, 85, of the Midway community passed away 2:01 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Gardner Church of Christ. Sidney White will officiate. Burial will follow in Stanley Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and at Gardner Church of Christ from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Gordon Fox, Joey Barker, Scott Wilkes, Ted Kelly, Ricky Glisson and Chris Green.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim White, Jimmy White, Larry Levister, Steven Green, Justin Cochran, Juan Sarento and Ronnie Ritz.

Mr. Newsom was born December 23, 1934, in Lake County, son of the late Rudolph and Callie Ellen (Waynick) Newsom. He retired from Reynolds Brothers Tire Company after 40 years of service and was a farmer. He was a member of Gardner Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jewel (Durham) Newsom of the Midway community; four daughters, Linda Wilson (Lynn), Janet Boyd (Mark) and Sherry Byars all of Union City and Ellen Snider of South Fulton; two sisters, Betty Hamlin of Hickman, Kentucky and Lena LaVake of Memphis; two brothers, Gilbert Newsom (Carolyn) of Hornbeak and Johnny Jo Newsom of Memphis; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; one sister-in-law, Betty Maynard (Hubert) of South Fulton; and one brother-in-law, Jimmy Durham of Hornbeak.

He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Dustin Wilson; one son-in-law, Lawrence Hawley; one sister, Mattie Gibson; and two brothers, James Newsom (Betty) and Jerry Mac Newsom.
