Mr. Frank M. Davis, 91, of Rives died 1:50 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the Etheridge House in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Berea Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Berea Cemetery. Royce Stewart will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and at Berea Church of Christ from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Berea Church of Christ, c/o Mark McCullough, 1092 North Hall Griffin Road, Union City, Tennessee 38261.
Mr. Davis was born February 24, 1923, in Obion County, son of the late John Frank and Bessie (Thorpe) Davis. He married Mary Ruth (Crocker) Davis March 14, 1943. They celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary this year. Mr. Davis was a member of Berea Church of Christ where he had served as an elder and a Sunday School teacher.
He was a retired farmer.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann (Davis) and Ted Mowery of Johnson City; his daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Davis of Martin; six grandchildren and four spouses, Lesa and Kevin Scillion of Rives, Keith Davis and Kevin and Brandee Davis all of Martin, David and Melissa Crockett of Johnson City, Angela Stewart of Charlotte, North Carolina and Carl and Chris Mowery of Sulphur Springs; and nine great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Davis; and his brother, Donald Davis.
