Frances Jones Snead, 94, of Obion, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, June 11, 2017, at The Waters of Union City.

Graveside services will be conducted 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rosehill Cemetery in Obion. Brother Marlon Stephens will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Rosehill Cemetery from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Snead was born July 26, 1922, in Nashville, daughter of the late William Eddie Jones, Sr. and Alice (McCord) Jones. She married William Eugene Snead in June 1992. He passed away July 1, 1996. Frances retired after 40 years of service as a registered nurse and supervisor at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She attended Mt. Carmel Methodist Church.

Mrs. Snead is survived by two stepsons, Sammy (Mary Lee) Snead of Obion and Larry (Shelia) Snead of Burlington, North Carolina; five step grandchildren, Sammy (Lisa) Snead, Jr. and Kirk (Michelle) Snead all of Troy, Brian (Marci) Snead of Richfield, North Carolina, Kevin (Jennie) Snead of Richmond, Virginia and Beth (Jody) Godwin of Elon, North Carolina; twelve step great grandchildren; three step great great grandchildren; and two nephews, Mark Jones and Larry Jones.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, William Eddie Jones, Jr.
