Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Frances Pierce, 82, of Union City died 1:29 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Haws Memorial Nursing Home in Fulton, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Mrs. Pierce was born August 7, 1931, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Everett and Maybell (Bynum) Copeland. She married Rev. James Pierce June 28, 1952. He died May 15, 1984. Ms. Frances was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She had been employed at the fomer Salant & Salant in Union City and the former Troy Manufacturing.

She is survived by her niece and nephew whom she raised, Cathy Hedgepath of South Fulton and Randy O'Keeffe of Union City; two great nieces, Ashley Hedgepath and SaraCathryn Hedgepath both of South Fulton; and one brother, Billy D. Copeland of Fulton, Kentucky.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Anne O'Keeffe; and one brother, Ray Copeland.
