Mrs. Frances Heathcock, 82, of Union City died 12:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at her home.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service. Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Heathcock was born April 23, 1930, in Obion County, daughter of the late Dalton Edward and Callie Ivodell (Gatlin) Gatlin. She had been employed at the former Lear Siegler in Union City and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Heathcock is survived by her son, Howard Heathcock of Rives; three grandsons, Mark Rhodes of Dyersburg, and Scottie Heathcock and Dusty Heathcock both of Union City; her brother, Frank Gatlin of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; and six grandchildren, Jake Heathcott of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Jansen Rhodes of Dyersburg and Tyler Chesser, Matthew Chesser, Taylor Heathcock and Alex Heathcock all of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Rhodes; two brothers, Harold Gatlin and Douglas Gatlin; and three sisters, Ruby Lefarlett, Helen Griffith and Mildred Little.
