Obituary

Mr. James Floyd Cole, 95, of Union City passed away 10:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Cody Pritchard and Pastor Justin Hiens will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Rives.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Pallbearers will be Paul Duren, John Duren, Mark Fuqua, James Cole, Michael Cole and Justin Norsworthy.

Mr. Cole was born January 29, 1923, in Obion County, son of the late Odie and Dana (Worley) Cole. He married Lucille (Winsett) Cole January 5, 1946. She preceded him in death August 22, 2011. Mr. Cole served in the United States Army during World War II and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City where he had served as a deacon, was a former men's Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Faith Sunday school class.

He is survived by two daughters, Polly Cole of Union City and Anna Duren (Gary) of Obion; one son, Ricky Cole (Sandra) of Union City; six grandchildren, Diana Fuqua of Pontotoc, Mississippi, Paul Duren and John Duren both of Obion, Dana Norsworthy of Wingo, Kentucky, James Cole of Troy and Michael Cole of Union City; several great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Craig Cole and Carnell Cole.
