Felicia Grimes, 48, of Union City passed away 3:41 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Robert J. Grimes will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Felicia was born in Chicago, Illinois November 8, 1972 to the union of Robert J. Grimes and Patricia D. Grimes. Her mother Patricia Grimes, and two brothers, Lewis A. Grimes and Robert J. Grimes III preceded her in death.
Felicia's formative years were spent in Chicago, Illinois. She received her formal education in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Madonna Catholic High School. Felicia accepted Christ at an early age. She grew up at Prayer Center Church of God in Christ.
Felicia moved to Memphis, Tennessee where her mother and brother, Lewis had relocated. Felicia's three children, Tylando, Christina, and Elise were born.
Felicia loved preparing delectable meals for her family. She was known for posting many of her creations on Facebook. She shared many of her recipes with friends and occasionally with her father. Felicia was self-employed as a tax preparer. Her clients were diverse, locally and out of state. She was a wizard at finding exemptions for her clients.
She resonated positive energy, always helping family and friends with meals, housing and advice.
Felicia leaves to mourn her children, Tylando Williams, Tylanda Matthews, Christina Williams, and Elise Williams; grandchildren, Tylando Williams Jr., and Orlando Matthews; her father, Elder Robert Grimes; sister, Durelle Grimes, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dear friends Melissa Perry and Paulette Bowens.
