Mrs. Maudie Faye Burkeen, 85, of Troy passed away 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Bobby Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Burkeen, Eric Burkeen, Patrick Johnson, Chandler Wilson, Randy Kemp and Bobby Johnson, Jr.

Mrs. Burkeen was born May 9, 1933, in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late James "Jim" and Minnie Lou (Price) Johnson. She married Marvin Burkeen November 24, 1954. He survives. Faye had been employed as a machine operator at the former Troy Manufacturing and was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Troy.

She is also survived by two grandsons, Terry Lee "T.J." Burkeen, Jr. (Krystal) of Antioch and Eric Burkeen of Troy; her daughter-in-law, Anna Burkeen of Troy; four great grandchildren, Andrew Blake Burkeen and Brody Gage Burkeen both of Troy and Lillian Grace Burkeen and Anabelle Marie Burkeen both of Antioch; and one brother, Thomas Johnson (Pat) of Samburg.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Lee Burkeen, Sr.; two sisters, Gertrude Weaks and Helen Kinnick; and three brothers, Leaton Johnson, Prentiss Johnson and Bobby Johnson, Sr.
