Obituary

Everett Morris, 79, of Troy passed away 9:05 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Austin Norton will officiate. Burial will follow in Beech Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Burress, Dennis Erdman, Peyton Gillenwater, Kenneth Fulkerson, James Williams and Grayson Brinkley.

Everett was born February 18, 1944, in McKenzie, son of the late Tennie Everett and Virginia Ruth (Buke) Morris. He had been employed at Belknap Tool & Hardware in Louisville for 27 years and Humana in Louisville for 27 years. Everett enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and listening to music. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by two daughters, Mindy Morris of Marysville, Indiana and Vanessa Moore (Scott) of Baltimore, Maryland; one son, Chris Morris of New Albany, Indiana; one sister, Judy Williams of Troy; one brother, Jerry Ray Morris of Martin; three grandchildren, Dennis Erdman of Marysville, Indiana, Amanda Erdman of New Albany, Indiana and Peyton Gillenwater of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and one great granddaughter, Naomi Rose Erdman of Marysville, Indiana.

He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Erdman; and one sister, Cordelia Ann Dailey.
