Mrs. Evelyn Rose Pickering, 87, of Springville passed away 9:45 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. She was a former resident of Obion County.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Gary Seyllar, David Beach, Tim Pickering and Dean Fisher.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Pickering was born November 29, 1927, in Fayette County, Texas, daughter of the late Walker and Christine (Kadlecek) Philips. She married Francis Edward Pickering January 3, 1945. He died April 6, 2006. Mrs. Pickering was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in St. Mary's Ohio and prior to that had been a licensed practical nurse for several years. She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Harry Cotterman of Springville; one son and daughter-in-law, Les and Gwen Pickering of Dayton, Texas; one sister, Jeanette Boutwell of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Bernie James Philips of Gonzales, Texas and Leslie Philips and Michael Philips both of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister; and three brothers.
