Mrs. Eva Margaret (Jones) Preuett, 75, of Hornbeak passed away 6:25 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Union City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Henry Callison will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be David A. Russell, Raymond Roberson, Steven Preuett, Stanley Preuett, Freddie Preuett, Jr. and Ethan Vaughn.

Mrs. Preuett was born March 16, 1941, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Fred Daniel and Ettie Louise (Williams) Jones. She married Larry Preuett, Sr. November 15, 1959. He preceded her in death November 6, 2011. Mrs. Preuett was a retired painter along with her husband and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Mitchell (Gene) of Atoka; one son, Larry Preuett, Jr. (Kelly) of Union City; one sister, Arlene Russell (David) of Union City; one brother, Clarence Jones (Bernice) of Hickman, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Trey Preuett (Kate) of Nashville, Billie Chandler (Brady) of Jackson, Colt Mitchell (Erin) of Memphis, and Hailey Preuett and Stella Preuett both of Union City; and one great grandson, Peyton Mitchell of Memphis.
