Ernest Lynn "Ernie" Long, 76, of Obion passed away 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at his home.

Memorial graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Rosehill Cemetery in Obion. Brother Charles Southerland will officiate.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation  arrangements.

Ernest was born August 31, 1949, in Obion, son of the late L.N. and Irene (Welch) Long. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Ernest enjoyed wood working and metal working in his shop.

He is survived by one sister, Brenda Thiele (Deral) of Farmington, Missouri; and one brother, David Long of Memphis. He will be missed by his extended family, Eva Jo Brady, Hunter Brady, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Shirley Mann.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Long and Terry Long.
