Earnest Lee "Ernie" Eason, 68, of Union City passed away 7:52 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Ernie was born April 16, 1955, in Northville, Michigan, son of Mary (Montgomery) Eason and the late Emeard "Tolley" Eason who were formerly of Hornbeak. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Ernie had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was a member of Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is also survived by his daughter, Meagan Eason of Knoxville; his mother, Mary Eason of Wichita Falls Texas; his sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and David Tuck of Wichita Falls, Texas; his nephew, Joey Glover of Union City; and his niece, Jessica Pryor of Wichita Falls, Texas.
