Mr. Eric Durand Florez, 50, of Union City passed away 8:40 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Water Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be David Choate, Daniel Choate, Reggie Turner, Jamie Turner, Joey Tynes, Lawrence Samanie, Bryson Choate and Carson Choate.

Eric was born August 18, 1973, in Fulton, Kentucky, son of Mike Florez of Mississippi and Sheila Turner of Florida.  He married Sheila (Rambo) Florez March 21, 2011.  She survives.  He worked for ERMCO in Dyersburg for 12 years and loved boating on Kentucky Lake.

He is also survived by his daughter, Andrea Turner and husband Hunter of Lake View, Alabama; three sons, Taylor Smith of Florida, David Choate of Union City and Daniel Choate of South Fulton; one sister, Victoria Florez of Florida; six grandchildren, Kaci Turner, Kaiden Turner, Grayson Turner, Carson Choate, Bryson Choate and Fallynn Choate; his grandmother, Gail Turner of Wingo, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Bella.
