Mrs.
Ella Ree Weaks, 82, of Union City passed away 11:05 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. David Kendall will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Eric Brann, Steven Weaks, Shawn Weaks, Matthew Morris, Alonzo King and Sam Kendall.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, Tennessee 38281.
Mrs. Weaks was born September 1, 1934, in Hornbeak, daughter of the late Ervin and Lou (Williams) Burton. She married Gary Weaks January 29, 1956. He passed away December 12, 2015. Mrs. Weaks had been employed at the former Salant & Salant in Union City and Troy. She was a member of Rives Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Randy Brann of Union City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Regina Weaks and Kevin and Missy Weaks all of Union City; eight grandchildren and the spouses of two, Rachel and Matthew Morrison of Louisville, Kentucky, Eric Brann, Steven Weaks, Shawn Weaks, Amber Weaks and Patrick Moore all of Union City and Jeremy Moore and Scott and Karla Brimer all of Mayfield, Kentucky; two great grandchildren, Trevor Brimer and Tracen Brimer both of Mayfield, Kentucky; and one brother William Burton of Samburg.
