Mr. Elbert Carnell Henson, 66, of Hickman passed away 3:43 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2021, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Sassafras Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery near Hickman. Brother Charles Southerland will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Elbert was born March 29, 1955, in Tiptonville, son of the late Elbert Lyndsey and Nadine (Oatsvall) Henson. He worked in the scrap metal business for many years.

He is survived by his finance, Sherry Newcomb of Hickman, Kentucky; two sons, Roger Henson of Water Valley, Kentucky and Jason Henson of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Jennifer Chessor of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Cody Chessor, Alexis Markle, Jacob Markle and Gabriel Henson; three great grandchildren, Ryleigh Fagen, Harrison Grimes and Isabella Markle; two sisters, Geraldine Cardwell (Terry) and Wanda Curlin (Jerry) both of Hickman, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roy Henson.
